Treehouse English

Very young learners join Louie, Monty, and Anna on different adventure stories. With a variety of fun, exciting activities, your child will be engaged with vocabulary, foundational grammar structures, colors, shapes, numbers, values, and more. They'll be having fun, so they'll learn without realizing.

This class may require you to print some worksheets (or have paper and crayons nearby).

Language and Literacy

Students
Students between the ages of 2-4 have proven results with learning vocabulary, producing the English language, learning to identify and write the alphabet, developing core math skills, and working with stories to develop vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Groups of students are limited to five.
Teachers
Each class is taught live via Zoom by a CELTA-qualified English speaking teacher.
Homework
Homework is optional, but it’s a great addition for families looking for a structure for their child’s learning. Skills include but aren’t limited to cutting, coloring, pre-writing, pre-reading, vocabulary, alphabet, and math skills.

Each class is 30 minutes two-times per week—that's three hours of English!

Math + Numeracy
Core math skills are the foundation of all future math learning and knowledge. This class begins with simple concepts like same/different, colors, 2D shapes, patterns, number recognition (1-10), number sense, counting, as well as very basic addition and subtraction (up to five).
Phonics
This course begins with a walk through the alphabet. There are two classes per week. With our highly interactive classes, your child will learn correct letter formation, identify uppercase and lowercase letters and letter pairs, recognize the letter's hard and soft sounds, and associate the letter sound with objects/vocabulary. Each of the first 26 weeks will focus on one letter. Once students have the basics, the course will dive deeper
Language + Literacy
This class is designed to assist parents in closing the “30 million word gap.” What is the “30 million word gap?” Researchers proved that students coming into school from monolingual homes will have heard an average of 30 million fewer words than those from bilingual homes. Read-alouds are the easiest way to bridge that gap! This interactive course focuses on a different read-aloud story each week and emphasizes vocabulary development and engagement with the text. We also sing pre-k songs related to the theme and review alphabet work.

Use iPad or tablet for best results as students can better interact with the material by drawing on the screen.

These classes may require you to print some worksheets (or have paper and crayons nearby).
