This class is designed to assist parents in closing the “30 million word gap.” What is the “30 million word gap?” Researchers proved that students coming into school from monolingual homes will have heard an average of 30 million fewer words than those from bilingual homes. Read-alouds are the easiest way to bridge that gap! This interactive course focuses on a different read-aloud story each week and emphasizes vocabulary development and engagement with the text.
There are two classes per week; each class is 30 minutes.
Courses begin the week of June 7 and end August 20.
