The ACT assesses high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The ACT reading test is a 40-question, 35-minute test that measures your readingcomprehension. The test questions ask you to derive meaning from several texts by (1) referring to what is explicitly stated and (2) reasoning to determine implicit meanings.
